If you like this blog you can vote for it! Susie of "runstopshop" writes:
"I wanted to notify you that you were selected as one of the Top Ten Running and Fitness Bloggers in Australia. We just finished compiling the final list of the top blogs and have created a poll for voting on our site to allow people to register their vote for their favorite Australian running blog.
"I invite you to share the poll with your readers and fans, and encourage them to vote for your blog as their favorite.
"The link to the poll page for voting is: http://www.runstopshop.com.au/blog?p=9
"The competition lasts two weeks (beginning tomorrow, May 10), we will keep you updated as votes are tallied on the poll page. You can also check in at the page to see where the voting stands. In the meantime, feel free to link to the poll page and encourage fans to vote for you, their favorite running and fitness blogger!"
Go there: at the very least you may find some (nine) other good Aussie running blogs.
Meanwhile let's talk about last night. Kaleen oval passed the test, a good surface with plenty of room to train around the outside of the sports fields. Lots of kiddies practicing their ball sport of choice. And our presence might even spook one or two very odd looking gentlemen lurking among the trees, or am I just paranoid?
Ruth and Margaret ran over from Ruth's place 800m away; Rod wasn't there this time but he lives a short distance away too and will join us; Colin trained well, Clint and Janene not far behind; Susan showed good form, Yelena too, and I trotted around at the back.
On this occasion we ran 3 or 4 intervals of 1200m, one complete circuit. We will continue to meet at Kaleen at 5:30pm on Thursdays. Some couldn't find Turon Place on a map; it is opposite Snowy Place. Park down the end of Turon Place.
Now to Friday
It IS a beautiful day. Sunny and warm, a perfect May day in Canberra, "Customs" calls, I will be there.
And don't forget, please vote for this blog at http://www.runstopshop.com.au/blog?p=9
