On top of Mount Lofty

This will be the last of the Adelaide photos I show. I have many others, all related to the 50 year reunion of our 1965 year 12 students.

The walk up and back from Waterfall Gully was the best exercise I had all week.

And now, my November Adelaide visit. Here's the sequence of walks and runs I did while there. Most of the time was spent feasting. Little running happened, due to a gammy leg.

Wednesday 11th 2k walk Murrays Hill Road (to check strapping was OK)


Thursday 12th 8k walk, Waterfall Gully to Mt Lofty summit and back.


Friday 13th 7k run in Coromandel Valley


Saturday 14th 10k run in Coromandel Valley. I ran up to the Blackwood Railway station. There was some detouring on the way as I helped a child on her bicycle find her lost family.


Monday 16th 5k run. It was starting to get too hot! I discovered Frank Smith reserve,

“Adelaide 2015” - 13 October. Cockatoo Victoria

Our first time in Cockatoo, where Jenny's sister and her husband live. I went for an 8k run, and we had a ride on puffing billy, travelling from Emerald to Gembrook. Our guide said he'd never see the train stop for an echidna on the tracks before! The echidna buried itself very quickly, as they do, and we had to speed on.

We headed home the next day. Thus endeth the October phase of our "Adelaide" visit. More in November!

On the road.
There were three speedygeese sightings today! Diana completing her three month trip around Australia saw us at a Service Station as we left Adelaide, we saw her on the road to Murray Bridge, and she saw us again at Horsham.









And a 4k run.
