I am amazed, in disbelief, running around like a child (yes Ewen even more excited than usual). I cannnot believe that I just ran a 19:26 5000m. I cannnot believe that I just ran a 19:26 5000m at my age. I cannnot believe that I just ran a 19:26 5000m at my age only seven days after the marathon. I cannnot believe that I just ran a 19:26 5000m at my age only seven days after the marathon, AND raced all the way outkicking another M55 to grab the bronze medal. It feels so good to actually race a 5000m instead of just running it! I did a Booth, finishing eight seconds ahead of 4th after (re-)passing him with 120 metres to go.
But wait there's more. Some great times by the others in the training group including Maria running a fantastic pb, around 20 seconds. And Katie too, a pb by around 7 seconds.
