I ran my first 10km race today for 2006; something I should find easy to better later on. After all it is only five days since the marathon!
It was 44:15 or so. No new injuries. I am hoping to improve on that in the Terry Fox; improve again in the Canberra Times Fun Run, and again around November on the track (see "my 2006 calendar" in the right hand column).
Hopefully one of these 10ks will be well under the 40 minute "barrier".
Shuffling along in 44.15 got me the silver medal! (Yah boo and sux to all those who didn't enter!) The 800s are later today, sometime down the track I will post official results for the group!
A national medal! A minor miracle.
