My running streak day 28

This morning while speedier geese were running the CBR105 relays + Michael doing the whole thing, Andrew, Ewen and I had an easy run at Stromlo Forest park, I ran 8k. It was a pleasant morning to start daylight saving, and it was certainly not too early to run.

My running streak day 27

It seems I run with different people each week at parkrun. Today, who should be at Gungahlin but Sarah-Jayne newly W35 with her son Ryan doing his second parkrun. So I ran with them today, around 28 minutes, a fast first 3k and a lot slower last 2k. I totalled 8k for the day. And that makes 101 parkruns. Next week if all is well, Bega.

My running streak day 26

Today was a trip to the gym to do a fairly solid 60 minute group circuit class. Running there and back from where I parked added 3k to the weekly total.

Here's another speedygoose running on Saturday last; this one with her 2-year-old speedygosling. Cookie usually runs at Queanbeyan but visited Ginninderra for the first time and finished ahead of more than half the speedygeese in the field.

My running streak day 25

Still a bit sore, I jogged around the Parliament House rose gardens while Candy, Jarod (new), Ruth, Lisa, and Brownie ran 10 or 11 intervals. This was the final Thursday at PH, from next week all Thursdays will be at Stromlo Forest Park.

My running streak day 24

Today I ran 3k, did my customary Wednesday 60 minute gym session, then ran 2k only as it looked like rain. Yesterday I felt sluggish; today, better.

Yesterday, photos of Thach, Ryan, Jen and Isaac featured. Today it's the turn of the next two after them in last Saturday's Ginninderra parkrun, James and David.

My running streak day 23

I pushed out a slow 5k today, feeling somewhat sluggish after 3 speedy days.

Here pictured is the gaggle of geese, goslings, and ganders who pushed me along on Saturday, or were they tripping me up? I feel pummelled, whichever.



I am hidden in there somewhere. Much of the run there were a number of bodies across the path ahead. They did let me pass on occasion, notably at the very end.



Dave is a ring-in, he had already finished.

My running streak day 22

In the morning, a 2k jog and a full 60minute Group Active exercise class.
In the evening, 6k including 20 short hills with the speedgeese.
Running 20 full hills were Anthony and Giles, while Ewen ran less hilly loops, and Christopher walked some of the hill reps.
Only male geese (ganders) were present today.

My running streak day 21

This morning, a perfect Canberra spring morning, I ran 8k at Stromlo with Ewen, including striding out six times over 200m. The savage October magpie was nowhere in sight, again.

What a great turnout. In addition, Bronwyn was taking photos, William was event Director, CJ was a course marshal, there were four speedygoslings in strollers, and an unknown number of dogs.

My running streak day 20 and parkrun #100

I ventured to Lake G with the largest gaggle of speedygeese yet seen at a parkrun and ran a 12 month Ginninderra PB of 23:46.
Total distance for the morning was in excess of 15k. No niggles; all is well!

My running streak day 19

I did jog today - 2k or so.

Sandeep trains much further than I do.The vest is a give-away. Must dig mine out for long summer runs.

My running streak day 18

I ran 6.2k on soft grass trying to recruit some fast twitch fibres for Saturday's 5k, while not over exerting. The speedygeese ran Rose Garden 200s: Jennie, Ruth, Lisa, Tori, Brownie, Isaac, Jen, Colin and Anthony. Ewen and Dave trotted around with them. Also spotted were Jacob, Lisa's Andrew, Lucy and Oliver, and a couple of Muscats.

My running streak day 17

A visit to the gym for an hour in the morning didn't involve any running.
In the afternoon I did a 3k tempo run from home, to keep the streak going.

More inspiring is one of our speedier speedygeese, Sarah Maree.

I am still finding 8k a bit long. I am still hoping to adapt and go longer in future. So, today, I ran 8.3k at about 6's.

I jogged around, 5.6k, while the speedygeese ran relays. Present were Ewen, Ricky, Brownie, Dave, Jennie, Isaac, Jen, Tori, Anthony, Narelle, Ruth, Bernardo, and me.
