How Thursday training went.
Posted by speedygeoff on Friday, September 27, 2019 with
It was another session of Rose Garden - or possibly Flower Garden, not many roses to be seen - 200s, with Colin running 13 on 2:20; Paul Q, Jen, Isaac, and Kevin running 12 on 2:30; Jennie and Celina running 10 on 3:00; and Denis 9 on 3:30. I supervised, having jogged earlier, and Dave ran laps, 14 in all, probably.

Planning the next complicated relay training session?
Posted by speedygeoff on Thursday, September 26, 2019 with
Sleeping on it does work - if you can sleep!
Planning ahead is, however, essential.
What relays shall we do next Monday?
[The last Monday before daylight saving begins.]
There will be relays. More in October on Mondays, too.
But from Thursday 10th we start Thursday training at Stromlo Forest Park - longer intervals.

Monday night training
Posted by speedygeoff on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 with
Last night "we few" (that's a palindrome) went to the Rose Gardens for our longer version of relays in teams of three, then our shorter version in teams of two. Worked well. Running the relays were Bernardo, James, Shane, Jacob, Allie, Peach, Kevin, me, Chloe, Celina, Paul Q, Deborah D, and Clare. Also seen were Warrick, Dave, and Christopher.
Not all of us are in the pic.

From Jacob Grooby:
"Great running by the SpeedyGeese at Saturday's Sri Chinmoy 100km relay.
"A big thank-you (from everyone, I'm sure) to Jen Bright for the huge amount of work that went in to organising all the teams and for supporting each of us on the day. I'm sure only half of us would have made it to the start line without your efforts!

Also, Richard was a DNF soloist, Bernardo powered home to run a Queanbeyan team into third place, and I thought Cookie’s first leg run was a blinder. Just one of many fabulous performances.

Relays in the rain - south-east side
Posted by speedygeoff on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 with
We had three person teams running the short loop south of the Rose Gardens: teams were Jennie, Ruth, Yelena; Paul, James, me; Bernardo, Colin, Shane. George jogged around and filled in for me on one of the loops, and Dave was somewhere nearby, I thought I saw Christopher once, and I didn't see Joel but Joel arrived to collect his two daughters from Yelena while we were out warming up. Light spring drizzle was no problem.

Participating were Bernardo, Shane, Jacob, Richard, James, Jodie, Gwen, Allie, Mick, Deborah D, Kevin, Chloe, Celina, Vanessa, Kahlia, Ruth, Jenny, Jennie, Susan with Maya, Warrick, me, and Dave early on, plus I saw Deborah P cycling.
