Still sailing through life on a bed of roses

Today at the track, Athletics ACT has its "number two" program, which includes
3.45pm 3000m
4.10pm 1500m

There are also steeplechase races after 6pm. It is a much cooler day today than it was yesterday, and I am looking forward to running a 1500m.

This coming Monday at Parliament House, a friend of mine I used to work with called Ann plans to wave a Hawaiian shirt out the window of her car on Monday when she drives past us at Parliament House Training. When she does, everyone must honk like a goose! "Friends I used to work with" are a very rare species indeed. Unlike with most of my workmates, Ann and I used to get on like a horse on fire.

Track results: Most of the T&F results from Thursday are still not available. Check again tomorrow.

I was impressed with Cathy Montalto who came out on Thursday for a rare run on the track. She was there to run in the W55 4 x 800m relay, but she had a bit of time up her sleeve so ran the 100m first. That's very brave for a long distance runner! Not only that, the 100m was the Daniels handicap, and she was off 24 metres, which means her actual racing distance was only 76 metres. Afterwards Cathy told me she must run more of them, they are over so quickly!

Always a smile
