a day in the life

Fifty years ago today ... The Beatles attended their first recording session at Abbey Road studios, their audition for producer George Martin and the Parlophone label.

Two years later ... Janene Kingston was born. Happy Birthday Janene!

On that day in 1964 I ran in a 3 mile schools cross country race in Adelaide (at St Mary's) which I won by 59 seconds...

... and my diary says I was playing "hard headed woman" on repeat that week... that's an Elvis song, not the Beatles.

A-well, a hard-headed woman,
A soft-hearted man,
Been the cause of trouble,
Ever since the world began.

Please don't take offence now...
