Snow is predicted in Tasmania today...

...and with a maximum of only 25 degrees in Canberra, it is another perfect day to go for a run.

  1. Good numbers tonight. Enjoyed it (and my short-cut worked perfectly).

  2. If everyone did the Thompson short-cut there would be chaos - but one (or two or three) doing it is no problem!
Twenty runners is double last week's. The newcomers seemed to enjoy it. I was surprised to see how many opted for the maximum-number-of-laps option, now known as the Calver option. Must have been the cool weather.

  3. Just glad I don't live in Tassie! Yes, excellent turnout. Now the true test is whether all those newbies will come back next week and the week after:)

  4. Actually Victoria has snow forecast, as well as Tasmania! This is January, folks! Anyway, I am sure the newbies will return. The key isn't how good the training is and how fit they think they may become, the key is how friendly the oldies are! So Strewth with oldies like you, I am sure they will want to return.

  5. Show'em Strewth how the oldies can do it. Glad I don't live in Tassie either, snow at this time of year, I don't think I'd like that.
Must be the marketing division Speedygeoff, you can get a very good crowd.

  6. I should add Mr Fruits, Strewth did very well and successfully completed a very hard session.

  7. But next week off 2:30 she's using a Tardis.

Any more Speedygeese and you'll have to send half the flock south!
