Sense of Occasion

Tuggeranong Don was running with us with less than 2km to go when I asked him to finish fast, grab his camera, and photograph us coming in together. Off he went! Thanks TD. All I had to do then was to convince Helen & Maria not to sprint home. That's me in the middle holding them back. (Although they probably claim they are helping an old man run the last few metres)

  1. What a fantastic photo! And both Maria's feet are off the ground so I don't think you are holding them back!!

  2. Great pic Speedygeoff! How many flies did you manage to catch?

  3. Maria runs on air. Walks on water. etc.

Curiously I too have one foot off the ground. Unusual. In all other known photographs, both my feet are on the ground. A trick of the light.

No flies. My mouth is closed. I never ever, or very rarely, talk while I am running. Just ask almost everyone. If they say I do, you asked the wrong person, that's all. Don did it with mirrors. Or it could have been a trick of the light.

  4. Actually a matter of timing Geoff. I deliberately sought to capture the lighter than air feel of you three running by waiting until both of Maria's legs were free of the ground, clearly supported by that helping hand next door...

On a more serioius note, it was great to see and hear you three having a good time during the run. You were all clearly in high spirits and that was really nice. I especially picked up those vibes when you hijacked me from my pit stop in the bushes.

  5. Oh Ya, they were definately helping!!

That's a great photo :o) ~ It really does capture the spirit of how much you all enjoy running, training, racing together.

I can't believe that whenever all you fella's run with me you never hold my hand.....you just sprint past me, or won't let me pass, or stick your elbows out (T would do that)......sssshhhheeeeezzzeeee!!!
